Willets Point 1 & 2 at Citi Field

New Built-up Roofing System & Pavers
Willets+-+Phase+1

About the Project

At Willets Point near Citi Field, recent roofing enhancements underscore the area’s commitment to sustainable and resilient infrastructure. The installation of an IRMA (Inverted Roofing Membrane Assembly) system, complemented by RoofBloc pavers, provides a durable and accessible rooftop surface designed to withstand heavy foot traffic and environmental stress. Additionally, a built-up roofing system utilizing SBS-modified bitumen membranes has been applied, offering multi-layered waterproofing and long-term performance. To further promote environmental sustainability, vegetative green roofing has been incorporated, contributing to stormwater management, improved insulation, and urban biodiversity. These advancements align with the broader redevelopment goals of Willets Point, transforming it into a model green neighborhood for the future.
